Overview

MACKINTOSH PHILOSOPHY is a total collection developed by Sanyo Shokai as a secondary line of MACKINTOSH, a long-established British outerwear brand. The menswear line launched in 2007, followed by womenswear in 2008. Centered on outerwear such as coats, it offers a wide range of products, from businesswear including jackets and suits to fashion accessories such as bags, shoes, and umbrellas.

Concept

A total collection that carries on MACKINTOSH’s spirit of craftsmanship and its classic, contemporary style.

Parent brands

  • MACKINTOSH 1824

A spin-off brand launched as a second line of MACKINTOSH. Taking into account the main line’s specialization in outerwear, it is designed as a total collection that carries forward its approach to craftsmanship and its “classic, contemporary style.” In Japan, it runs alongside the similarly derived MACKINTOSH LONDON as a pillar of licensed expansion centered on department-store channels, serving as a point of entry distinct from the original MACKINTOSH.

Its role is to offer a comprehensive collection as a second line.
