Overview

Paul Smith Blue Label is a diffusion line derived from British designer Paul Smith. Its parent brand, Paul Smith, was founded in Nottingham, England, in 1970. The line offered apparel and accessories, primarily womenswear, through department stores and select shops, mainly for the Japanese and Asian markets. Its launch year was not officially stated, and the line ceased operations as part of a business and line reorganization in 2015–2016. It was positioned as one of the region-specific derivative lines, alongside Black Label and others.

The Guardian specifically lists the three labels as “Paul Smith Sport / Paul Smith for Children / Paul Smith Blue Label.” Within Paul Smith’s children’s wear, the name served to distinguish the range at the time.
