Description
Summit Series（サミット・シリーズ）は、米国アウトドアブランドThe North Faceが2000年秋に開始した最上位パフォーマンスコレクション。高所登山やアルパイン／アイスクライミング、バックカントリーのスノー、トレイルなど極限環境での行動を想定し、レイヤリングを前提とした高機能ウェア、フットウェア、装備を展開する。スローガンに「Athlete Tested. Expedition Proven.™」を掲げる。
POSITION OF The North Face
The North Faceが極限環境・遠征用途に向けて設けた最上位のパフォーマンスラインとして、アスリートテストと長期の製品開発を前提に編成される。Snow/Climb/Trailなど高負荷アクティビティ別に構成し、ブランドの技術や素材開発を最もシビアな条件で実装する位置付け。日常・ライフスタイル寄りの派生ライン（Red Box等）と役割が分かれる。
