Braun is a consumer appliance brand founded by Max Braun in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1921. Its product range centers on electric shavers and personal care, as well as kitchen appliances. In design, it has championed functional product design based on the philosophy “Less, but better.”, with Dieter Rams at its center, and has received numerous awards in Japan and abroad. It is currently one of P&G’s global brands, while the rights to its household appliances were transferred to De’Longhi in 2012.
