Chic by H.I.S. is the name of a line of women's jeans introduced in 1975 by H.I.S., a denim brand originating in New York. It was used around the time Jesse Siegel, son of H.I.S. founder Henry I. Siegel, put forward fit proposals for women's jeans. The sizing was characterized by taking inseam length into account in addition to waist size. Its main focus was women's denim, and no current development as an independent brand or distinct official concept has been confirmed.
