Kitz-Pichler originated as a knitting mill founded in 1952 in Kitzbühel, Austria, by Heribert Gottstein of Gottstein. Starting with ski knits and knitwear, it now focuses on indoor footwear made with materials such as fulled wool fabric, as well as traditional Tyrolean Hüttenschuhe (mountain-hut shoes). As a brand under Gottstein, it offers slippers for adults and children.
