Overview

C.P. Company Transformables was a conceptual sub-line announced in 2000 by Italy-based C.P. Company. It was launched by designer Moreno Ferrari during his tenure (1997–2001) and centered on dual-purpose products that could be transformed instantly using zippers and toggles, such as a jacket that turned into a tent, sleeping bags, backpacks, and kites. Many items were made from a nylon material called 'Cristal Wind', treated with a light rubber coating.

A named diffusion offshoot introduced with C.P. Company’s Spring/Summer 2000 work under designer Moreno Ferrari. The Transformables line comprised highly multifunctional garments that physically converted between clothing and shelter-like objects (examples: Tent Jacket, Sleeping Bag, Kite) and used rubberised/Crystal Wind materials; the series is documented in the brand archive and museum/editorial records.
