Overview

Tagline

YOUR PARTNER IN COMFORTABLE LIVING.
DAN RIVER is a textile brand whose predecessor was Riverside Cotton Mills, founded in 1882 in Danville, Virginia, by T.B. Fitzgerald and others. Centered on cotton and synthetic-fiber fabrics, it developed fabrics for apparel as well as home textiles such as bedding and towels, and grew into a major U.S. textile manufacturer. Following its acquisition in 2006, its major factories in the United States were closed, but the brand name was retained, and it now focuses primarily on home textiles. In Japan, it also offers menswear against the background of the history of American textiles.
