FILA WHITE LINE
Basic information
Overview
FILA WHITE LINE is a sportswear line derived from FILA, founded by the Fila brothers in Biella, Italy, in 1911. It debuted in 1974 as FILA’s first sportswear line, featuring colorful tenniswear designed by Italian designer Pierluigi Rolando that connected tennis and fashion. It became known internationally through its wear by Björn Borg and others, and was launched in Japan as a high-end line for the Fall/Winter 2016 season. Under the concept “Sportswear that fits urban life,” it proposed clothing that brought the functionality of sportswear designed for competition into everyday urban life. It continues to be carried on in FILA’s White Line collections across different regions.

FILA 1911
FILA WHITE LINE was FILA’s first full-fledged sportswear line, introduced in 1974, and symbolizes the brand’s tennis origins. It brought color, stripes, and designs that considered the body’s movements into tenniswear, which had traditionally centered on all-white outfits, connecting performance apparel with fashion. It continues to be offered as a collection name, serving to link FILA’s tennis archive with everyday wear and contemporary court styles. Unlike HERITAGE, which broadly reinterprets the history of the brand as a whole, and ATHLETICS Tennis, which emphasizes current functionality, it is a line that carries forward FILA’s design innovations and iconic motifs in tennis.
