Overview

FILA is a sports brand founded by the Fila brothers in Biella, Italy, in 1911. Its core offerings are apparel and footwear originating in sports such as tennis and golf, alongside lifestyle items. The FILA Korea (now Misto Holdings) group of South Korea currently holds the global trademark rights and espouses a design-led approach to enhancing individual performance, as well as the philosophy that sport is “an identity, not an activity.”

Concept

We view sport as an identity, not an activity.

Sub-brands

  • FILA WHITE LINE 1974

FILA WHITE LINE was FILA’s first full-fledged sportswear line, introduced in 1974, and symbolizes the brand’s tennis origins. It brought color, stripes, and designs that considered the body’s movements into tenniswear, which had traditionally centered on all-white outfits, connecting performance apparel with fashion. It continues to be offered as a collection name, serving to link FILA’s tennis archive with everyday wear and contemporary court styles. Unlike HERITAGE, which broadly reinterprets the history of the brand as a whole, and ATHLETICS Tennis, which emphasizes current functionality, it is a line that carries forward FILA’s design innovations and iconic motifs in tennis.

  • AQUA TIME 1976

AQUA TIME is a historical specialist line that FILA introduced in 1976 for swimmers and sailing. It extended FILA’s sportswear development, established through tennis and alpinism, into water sports, incorporating thin, body-hugging swimwear materials and geometric designs that evoke the movement of water. While WHITE LINE covered tennis wear for the court and WHITE ROCK covered clothing for mountain environments, AQUA TIME was the offshoot line for the water-sports categories of swimming and sailing. Rather than a current core product line, it is positioned as an archive that illustrates how FILA expanded into new sporting fields.

  • FILA WHITE ROCK 1976

FILA WHITE ROCK is a historical sportswear line launched by FILA in 1976 as it expanded into alpinism and mountain activities. Unlike WHITE LINE, which was designed for tennis, it targeted natural environments and developed outerwear designed to withstand wind and rain, as well as items such as the Tela Vela jacket, which applied materials used in canvas. The line extended FILA’s sporting reach from the court to high altitudes and the outdoors, and is one of the important archives reinterpreted by HERITAGE today. In contrast to AQUA TIME, which focused on water sports, and WHITE LINE, which focused on tennis, WHITE ROCK represented functional development and brand expansion in mountaineering and alpinism.

  • FILA KIDS 2000

FILA KIDS is a line launched in China in 2015 to extend FILA’s brand image and the functionality of its sportswear to the children’s market. While carrying over the classic logos and color schemes of adult-oriented FILA, it offers children’s everyday wear, leisurewear, shoes, and accessories, as well as performance products for tennis, skiing, and running. Whereas FILA FUSION focuses on trends and collaborations for younger consumers, FILA KIDS serves children and their families, extending the brand’s presence across both sports and everyday life as a highly independent kids’ line.

  • FILA GOLF 2001

FILA GOLF is a line that specializes FILA’s competition-derived design and functionality for golf. It was launched as a brand in Korea in 2001 and currently comprises polo shirts, pants, skirts, outerwear, shoes, and other items, while also coordinating with the golf category of FILA ATHLETICS. Unlike other ATHLETICS categories, which include tennis and fitness, it focuses on products and brand activities designed for swing movements, course environments, and the golf community. Within FILA as a whole, it is positioned as a vertical sports line that strengthens product development and presence in golf as a specialized sport.

  • FILA HERITAGE 2016

FILA HERITAGE is a collection that reworks the sportswear and lifestyle designs FILA has developed over many years for contemporary everyday wear. Centered on the brand’s red, white, and blue colors, the F-Box logo, and coordinated sets and classic silhouettes evoking Italian sportswear, it brings together the inheritance of the archive and contemporary wearability. In contrast to WHITE LINE, which focuses on the history of tennis; ATHLETICS, which encompasses competition and training; and FUSION, which is aimed at younger consumers, HERITAGE is not limited to a specific sport and serves to extend FILA’s distinctive classic brand expression into the everyday wardrobe.

  • FILA FUSION 2017

FILA FUSION is a derivative brand launched by FILA in 2017 to expand its reach among younger consumers, primarily in China. While building on the parent brand’s sporting heritage, logos, and footwear assets, it is characterized by an emphasis on youth culture, trend-driven sports, and collaborations with companies and brands in other industries. It currently develops initiatives such as WORKWEAR, URBAN TECH, and FUSIONEER, along with collaborations. Unlike HERITAGE, which focuses on classic everyday wear, ATHLETICS, which focuses on competitive functionality, and FILA KIDS, which is aimed at children, it is positioned as a line responsible for appealing to younger consumers and generating buzz.

  • FILA ATHLETICS 2018

FILA ATHLETICS is a collection that brings together FILA’s professional sports offerings across disciplines. Its official product range spans multiple categories for sports, training, and outdoor activities, including Tennis, Golf, Fitness, and Explore. While HERITAGE focuses on archival styles and classic everyday wear, FUSION on trends and collaborations for younger consumers, and FILA KIDS on children’s products, ATHLETICS is positioned as the line that most clearly emphasizes performance during physical activity, specialization, and purpose-specific product design. It is a central line in FILA’s current sports offering, including specialized categories such as FILA GOLF and tennis.
