ISSEY MIYAKE MEN is a menswear line originating in Japan, launched by Issey Miyake in 1976. Centered on menswear, it was available through directly operated stores and showrooms in Japan and abroad, and has presented at the Paris Collection since 1985. Issey Miyake Inc. announced that ISSEY MIYAKE MEN would be suspended after the Fall/Winter 2020 season, and subsequently launched other lines, including IM MEN, in 2021. The company’s production is based on Issey Miyake’s “A Piece of Cloth” philosophy, research into materials, and techniques such as product pleating, and has affinities with related lines such as HOMME PLISSÉ.
