Overview

Tagline

Natural since 1929
Kero is a family-run leather brand founded in 1929 by Yrjö Kero in Sattajärvi, Norrbotten County, northern Sweden (near Pajala). It tans leather, primarily reindeer hides, using natural tanning based on plant tannins derived from bark. In addition to supplying leather materials, the company manufactures and sells footwear, including beak shoes, bags, and accessories. In 2005, the leather tanning division was spun off as Kero Leather AB, and the product manufacturing division as Kero Försäljning AB.

Concept

We tan our leather in a natural way, which means that the skin is handled with substances from the nature. It is the most environment-friendly tanning method.
