Kletterwerks is an original brand founded by Dana Gleason in 1975. MYSTERY RANCH revived the brand under its name and reintroduced it as a heritage-oriented offshoot line, developing and manufacturing it in-house. The revival for the Japanese market began in 2012 through a collaboration with A&F Distribution, with design development and manufacturing carried out at Mystery Ranch’s Bozeman facility. While retaining the original classic design, the line incorporates modern features such as padded laptop sleeves and high-density materials. Its uses and target audience are distinct from MYSTERY RANCH’s own load-carrying range for military, firefighting, and hunting, positioning it for everyday urban carry (EDC) and light outdoor use.
