Tagline

A British Factory Brand Specialising in Quilted Outerwear.
LAVENHAM is a quilted outerwear brand founded in 1969 by Mrs Elliott in the village of Lavenham, Suffolk, England. Starting with the world’s first nylon quilted horse rug, it went on to develop jackets and gilets with features suited to horse riding, and continues to manufacture its products at its own factory in Suffolk. The brand’s name derives from its place of origin, and its focus on “Fit For Purpose” places emphasis on practicality and durability. Since 2018, Kazu Yokotsuka has overseen its collections, which include Classics and Black Edition. The brand also champions “Being Better” as it continues to make products designed to be worn for a long time.

Launched in 2024 by Head of Creative Kazu Yokotsuka, Lavenham’s Black Edition is a collection officially introduced as the main line’s “shadow self.” While Lavenham Classics serves everyday practicality, Black Edition explores more complex territory, foregrounding experimental quilting, material selection, and structural pattern design. The official collection listing presents it separately for men and women, and it deepens the brand’s core through an approach distinct from its standard offerings.
