Overview

Levi's Vintage Clothing was introduced globally in 1996 as a line reproducing historical garments from the Levi Strauss & Co. archives. Drawing on materials in the storage room at the San Francisco headquarters and rooted in the spirit and heritage of American workwear, it recreates the fabrics, fits, and details of each era. The line centers on 501® jeans and Trucker Jackets, and is presented through seasonal collections, iconic reproduction collections, and Timeline Collections. The head designer is Paul O’Neill. The founder is Levi Strauss.

Concept

Levi's® Vintage Clothing faithfully reproduces historic garments from across our 150-year history. Drawing on the spirit and heritage of American workwear, each piece is crafted using fabrics, fits and details from the era it came from.

A heritage line based on Levi’s archives, faithfully recreating the fits, materials, and details of earlier eras. While Red Tab represents current core styles and Made & Crafted and Blue Tab advance contemporary interpretations, Vintage Clothing turns historical patterns themselves into products, conveying the brand’s origins. Including seasonal reissues and special editions, it has the clearest reissue-focused positioning within the group.
