Overview
MAILLAPARTY is a knitwear line launched in 1979 by French designers Marithé Bachellerie and François Girbaud. It was one of the group of brands developed by Marithé + François Girbaud and focused primarily on knitwear. In 1983, actress Jennifer Beals wore the line and appeared on the cover of the French edition of ELLE. It is now treated as a past line in the parent brand’s official history, and no activity as an independent current brand can be confirmed.

A knitwear line launched by Marite and Francois in 1979. In contrast to the parent brand’s offerings, which placed denim at the center, it presented knit fabrics and knitwear under an independent line name. It also differed from LES COMPLÉMENTS DE, a sportswear line that appeared later and featured light, feminine elements, occupying the knitwear segment within the brand family.
