Overview

Mossimo Red Label is a casualwear line derived from the U.S.-based Mossimo. The parent brand, Mossimo, was founded in California in 1987 by designer Mossimo Giannulli. In the early 2000s, Red Label was offered as one of the clothing lines for Target, covering sportswear, denim, capri pants, board shorts, and other items. It was also recorded as a casual denim and sportswear line for Zellers in Canada, and has since been discontinued.

Mossimo Red Label was a surf- and beach-focused line offered within the Mossimo collection for Target around 2000. It primarily targeted young men and junior women, offering sporty casualwear. It served a different purpose from Black Label, which featured more contemporary clothing, and was positioned to bring elements of Mossimo’s California-origin surfwear into products for Target. It is documented as a historical line.
