NAGUISA is a footwear brand founded in 2012 in Barcelona, Spain, by product designer Claudia Pérez Polo and architect Pablo Izquierdo López. Aiming to bring traditional espadrilles to a wider audience, it focuses on shoes with jute soles. The brand describes its designs as being for all feet and ages, and its espadrilles are made in Spain and sewn by hand. It identifies the Mediterranean, nature, craftsmanship, comfort, quality, modernity, and sincerity as elements of the brand, and focuses on one summer collection each year.
Concept
Naguisa came to life from traditional espadrilles; highly comfortable jute-sole shoes; and the desire of launching them to a wider public.
