SEVEN GAUGE is a genderless knitwear and tailoring brand founded in Bologna, Italy, in 2023. Its name derives from the knitting technical term “Finezza Sette,” referring to an intermediate thickness that is not extreme. The brand’s guiding principle is to “quietly but systematically rework” the men’s daily wardrobe. Centered on knitwear and formal suiting, it offers garments that can be worn across genders. Federico Manservisi is a co-founder responsible for design.
Concept
To quietly but systematically rework the everyday items of the men’s wardrobe, making them lighter, richer, and contemporary, while allowing them to be readily adapted for women’s wear.
