BAKER STREET is a men's casual brand by Sanyo Shokai. Its theme is “Quintessentially British Clothing with Humour,” and it champions “a refined traditional style that expresses British attention to detail alongside modernity and a playful spirit.” The brand name derives from Baker Street in London. Sanyo Baker operated the brand from 1975 to 2001; after its liquidation, Sanyo Shokai continued it until 2003. After an absence of about 20 years, the brand returned in February 2025, offering jackets, shirts, trousers and other items centred on its signature original check pattern, “BAKER STREET TARTAN.”
