With new structure and humor
Bellago is a Japanese leather brand founded in Kobe in 2003 by bag maker Ryu Ushio. Focusing on bags, wallets, and leather accessories, it offers everything from ready-made products to custom orders and is committed to “Japanese-made to world standards,” crafted by its own production staff. The brand name is a coined word combining BELLA (beautiful, good) and AGO (needle), expressing both beautiful stitching that brings out the character of leather and an approach to making beautiful things. Its design process responds to the characteristics of each material while incorporating new mechanisms and humor, guided by the production concept “beautiful, strong, resonant things.” Its signature products include the Platico wallet, which features a distinctive structure.
