Black Sheep (Black Sheep Knitwear) is a knitwear brand founded by Claire Hoare in Norfolk, England, in 1966. Starting with the breeding of Black Welsh Mountain sheep, it expanded into spinning British wool and manufacturing and selling knitwear. It produces hand-knitted and machine-knitted sweaters, hats, scarves, gloves, and other items in the UK, with a focus on British materials and Made in England. It expanded its exports overseas from the 1980s and continues to operate as Black Sheep Ltd.
