Overview
Champion Reverse Weave is a signature line derived from the “Reverse Weave” technique devised in 1934 by Champion, a sportswear brand originating in the United States, to reduce shrinkage. Rotating the grain of the fabric 90 degrees to use it crosswise reduces vertical shrinkage, and the technique was patented in 1938. The line mainly includes heavyweight hoodies, sweatshirts, and sweatpants.

Centered on Reverse Weave® (a construction method that helps reduce shrinkage), Champion Reverse Weave is a line continuously developed within Champion as a “signature” (core franchise). Focused primarily on heavyweight sweatshirts and hoodies, it forms a core range emphasizing durability and serves as a foundation for derivative offerings such as Champion LIFE, while occupying a central role as a technology- and material-based pillar.
