Overview

D&G was a second line introduced in 1994 by the Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana oversaw its design, and it presented casual, urban collections for younger consumers. It was known for items featuring the D&G logo. Standalone operations ended in 2011, and the line was integrated into the main line after Spring/Summer 2012. It had a notable presence as a representative line of brand expansion in the 1990s.

Concept

An affirmative expression of freedom. Sincere expression was combined with a more urban sensibility than ever before, resulting in a refined style that was unconstrained by conventions and moved beyond them.

Beginning in 1994 as a second line of Dolce&Gabbana, it offered casual, everyday-oriented styles for a younger customer base than the main line. It functioned as another entry point foregrounding the names of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, presenting collections at a different pace from the main line of the time. Following its final collection in 2011, it was integrated into the main Dolce & Gabbana in 2012. Today, it is positioned as a former offshoot line that reflects the evolution of the brand structure before the integration.
