DOGTOWN is a skateboarding brand that emerged in 1976 from the Zephyr surf/skate scene around Santa Monica and Venice, California, USA. It was launched primarily by Jim Muir and Wes Humpston, and is known for the “Dogtown Cross,” conceived by Craig Stecyk III, as well as board art and paint designs by Muir and Humpston. Its offerings include skateboards, cruisers, longboards, apparel, and accessories. In 2014, it reunited under Dogtown X Suicidal. The brand describes itself as skater-owned and operated and champions “Our only Crime is Being Original.”
