Intelligent Quartz is a technology-based sub-collection announced by the American watch brand Timex at Baselworld 2011. Developed at the brand’s design center in Pforzheim, Germany, it is built around its proprietary Intelligent Quartz technology, which uses independent motors, digital sensors and a microprocessor to display advanced functions analogically. The collection includes multifunctional models equipped with features such as world time, a compass, and tide and temperature sensors. The technology was originally transferred from the high-end TX line to the Timex brand for broader adoption, and it continues to be used across several Timex lines.
