Its name derives from “Klear Above Visibility Unlimited,” a playful variation on the aviation term CAVU, and the brand officially presents “an unlimited sense of openness” as a guiding principle for everyday life. It became known for its strap caps in its early years, and later made rope bags a signature product, focusing on hats, bags, and apparel. It continues to operate from its headquarters in Seattle.
