Overview

KLEMAN was officially launched in 1988 as a work-shoe label under French footwear manufacturer CLEON (Cléon Manufacture). CLEON was founded in 1945, and it is said that its founder, René Cléon, designed leather shoes. The company has supplied French public institutions and agencies, including SNCF, AIR FRANCE, customs services, fire departments, and the army. Many of its signature models conform to ISO EN-20347, providing slip resistance, abrasion resistance, and safety. In addition to shoes and boots, the range includes sandals and accessories. Production takes place in France, at workshops in La Romagne/Anjou.
