MM6 Maison Margiela is a contemporary line launched in 1997 from Maison Margiela, a Paris-based fashion house. Its offerings center on ready-to-wear for women, men, and all genders, and extend to shoes, bags, accessories, and fragrance. The brand officially describes its offering as an “All-Gender wardrobe” and is currently run by an anonymous creative team.
Concept
Launched in 1997, MM6 Maison Margiela continuously reimagines the contemporary wardrobe with wit and irreverence. Sartorial conventions are routinely bent and broken. Conceptual essentials are created using unique fabric treatments, resulting in a distinctive All-Gender wardrobe.

MM6 Maison Margiela is the house’s second (contemporary) line, launched in 1997, and proposes an all-gender wardrobe centered on womenswear. While inheriting concepts such as the parent brand’s anonymity and reconstruction, it translates them into everyday wear through its own material treatments and transformed silhouettes, as well as accessories including shoes and bags. It occupies a position between the experimentation of the main ready-to-wear line and the atelier production of Artisanal.

MM6 Maison Margiela Kids is an official licensed line for children and teens derived from MM6, developed under an agreement with Brave Kid, the OTB Group’s childrenswear division. Following a capsule launch in AW21, full collections began in SS22, primarily for ages 4–16, with unisex clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories. It extends the all-gender perspective of parent brand MM6 to younger customers while incorporating specifications that take into account wearability and sizing for children, as well as durability and safety. It is therefore positioned as a junior line derived from MM6 that runs alongside the adult line.
