Overview

Options by Byblos was a secondary line derived from Byblos, a fashion brand originating in Milan, Italy. It began with Options Donna, launched in 1985 by Byblos designers Alan Cleaver and Keith Varty, and around 1990 it offered clothing under the name “Options by Byblos.” The line was developed to carry forward Byblos’s youthful, colorful direction, but was later discontinued.

A historical second line for women

Options by Byblos was a second line for women launched during Byblos’s period of expansion

Options by Byblos was a second line for women launched during Byblos’s period of expansion, and is also recorded as Options Donna in historical sources. It offered products under a name distinct from the main Byblos collections and served to extend the brand’s offering to a younger female market. It was one of the independent labels that made up the Byblos family in the 1980s and is a historical offshoot line that does not appear in the current official lineup.
