The line is centered on traditional stitchdown construction, an unlined structure, and natural crepe soles. The business began in 1908 as Earnest Woodford & Son, and Chris Woodford, from the founder’s family, is responsible for designing the contemporary stitchdown styles and cutting their patterns. The brand adheres to British manufacturing and made-to-order production, and the relaunch of an updated collection was announced in 2020.
