Being an inspiration to fashion
ANTIPAST is a Japanese fashion brand whose origins date to 1991, when textile designers JUNKO JINUSHI and KYOKO KATO established Coup de Champignon. Centered on socks, the brand offers legwear, accessories, and womenswear, creating products with a focus on textile expression. The brand name embodies the idea that “you are the main dish” and the meaning of “ANTI-PAST”—moving toward the future rather than the past. It debuted at Première Classe in Paris in 1992 and launched +ANTIPAST in 2005. In 2006, it received the Amiko Kujiraoka Prize at the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix, and it holds exhibitions in Paris, Milan, and Tokyo.

Concept

“You are the main dish.” Clothing and accessories are the appetizers that make you look more wonderful and shine more brightly. ANTİPAST was named with the wish to be that kind of presence. The name also conveys “ANTI-PAST,” meaning “not the past” and looking toward the future. The brand aims to create original products for enjoying free styling and coordination.
