Benelli Montacone is a hat brand launched in Prato, Italy, in 1994. As an Italian factory brand, it produces hats at multiple factories in Montappone and other hat-producing regions in Italy and Europe. Drawing on a tradition of straw weaving rooted in peasant culture, the brand has diversified its production to use natural materials including not only straw but also wool, felt, hemp, Panama grass, and woven fabrics. The local hat museum also preserves a hat last worn by Italian film director Federico Fellini.
