Overview

BO SPORT is a Japanese surfwear and surf-casual brand developed since around 1995 by Heads Ltd., based in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture. As an original brand of Heads, operated by Hiroaki and Eiko Sato, it draws on its surfwear background to create clothing inspired by California surf culture of the 1960s to 1980s. Centered on its distinctive approach to making products, the brand expanded to surf shops across Japan and has been carried by BEAMS BOY since its launch. It continues to offer apparel such as T-shirts, as well as BO SPORT WETSUITS.

BO SPORT WETSUITS is BO SPORT’s wetsuit-specialist line, developed by Heads Co., Ltd. On the official website, it is listed as a separate brand entry from BO SPORT itself, and its independent line offering is evident from the availability of measurement charts, order sheets, size charts, and price lists. While carrying forward BO SPORT’s California surf culture, it offers Retro Wetsuits, centered on retro classic rubber, and Ultimate Wetsuits, which use functional materials. It is positioned as a function-focused sub-line that complements BO SPORT, which centers on apparel, on the water.
