Modern Mechanical
Chronoswiss is an independent mechanical watch brand founded in Munich, Germany, in 1983 by master watchmaker Gerd-Rüdiger Lang. Amid the quartz crisis, it set out to revive traditional mechanical watchmaking, with an emphasis on transparency, craftsmanship, and technical expression. Oliver Ebstein took over the brand in 2012 and moved its base to Lucerne. The brand produces watches in small quantities, centered on regulator displays, onion crowns, hand-engraved guilloché, and enamel dials, and upholds “Modern Mechanical” as its philosophy.
