Bill Blass Couture was a high-priced couture line derived from the American fashion brand Bill Blass. Against the backdrop of the New York fashion house founded by William Ralph Blass in 1970, a women’s footwear line of the same name was announced in 2006. It also operated as a couture business, but its closure was reported at the end of 2008, and it has since ceased operations.

DOCKSIDES is a boat shoe line by SEBAGO, whose roots are in the U.S. state of Maine. In 1970, its first model was introduced with the aim of enabling safe and smooth movement both aboard boats and on land. SEBAGO itself was founded by Daniel J. Wellehan Sr., William Beaudoin, Joseph Cordeau, and others in Westbrook, and Docksides is positioned within that history as an iconic deck shoe. In 1980, Docksides and penny loafers were featured as essential items in the Official Preppy Handbook.
