The parent brand was founded in San Francisco in 1998 by skateboarder Nick Tershay (Nick Diamond) and developed from skateboarding products into apparel. Designed by lead designer Bana Bongolan, Diamond Womens offers women's clothing and accessories, including dresses, skirts, jackets, fleece, leggings, and shorts. It is positioned as a women's offshoot line of the parent brand, whose roots lie in skate culture.

Diamond Womens is a dedicated womenswear line introduced by Diamond Supply Co. in 2015. Building on the graphics and brand symbols developed through its main skate and streetwear collections, it expanded into a range designed for women, including dresses, skirts, jackets, fleece, leggings, shorts, and accessories. The appointment of a head womenswear designer and its formal launch at the Los Angeles flagship store indicate that it was treated not simply as a category of products for women, but as a derivative line with its own planning and name. In contrast to Diamond Supply Co.’s primarily menswear- and unisex-oriented main brand, it was positioned to serve women customers with a dedicated product range.
