drestrip is a fashion brand launched in Japan in 2006 by designer Yuji Kobayashi. It presented a collection in Paris that same year and has since developed its activities in Japan and abroad. The brand name is a coined word combining dress (to adorn oneself), strip (to pare away), and trip (a sense of exhilaration). With “poison and glamour” as its theme, it aims to create clothing that is “edgy yet basic, and glamorous yet suited to everyday life,” proposing “high-end daily wear” that emphasizes technical material development and authenticity. It offers leather and apparel lines.
