ETELA is a Japanese bag brand launched for Spring/Summer 2022. It is developed by Officina Clea Co., Ltd., and created by its representative and brand director/designer, Masahiro Morikawa, drawing on his experience in Italy. The brand name derives from the Italian word TELA, meaning “fabric.” Centered on a commitment to materials, the brand offers tote bags, string bags, phone pouches, and other items. Its features include herringbone canvas made from Kurashiki-produced canvas woven on an old-style shuttle loom with a 130-year history, vivid screen prints, and simple, functional designs.
