Overview

FEMMENT is a Japanese womenswear brand whose predecessor was MM ATTACHMENT, launched in 2013 as the womenswear line of menswear brand ATTACHMENT. It was renamed and relaunched for Spring/Summer 2020. Sachiko Kyomori, who worked on design under the direction of Kazuyuki Kumagai, serves as designer. Grounded in simple, timeless craftsmanship, the brand offers garments that combine modernity with a feminine sense of playfulness. Its guiding principle, “Less is more,” reflects an orientation toward minimalism that limits ornamentation and the creation of essential garments designed to withstand changing times.

FEMMENT is a derivative line responsible for the women’s division within ATTACHMENT’s bran

FEMMENT is a derivative line responsible for the women’s division within ATTACHMENT’s brand family. It began as MM ATTACHMENT for Spring/Summer 2013 and was renamed FEMMENT from Spring/Summer 2020. It carries forward the early design concepts directed by 熊谷和幸, with 京森幸子, who worked on the designs for MM ATTACHMENT, serving as designer. Unlike the menswear-focused ATTACHMENT and KAZUYUKI KUMAGAI, which developed a stronger collection-oriented identity under 熊谷’s name, the line centers on modern, elegant clothing for women while incorporating a playful spirit and a free sensibility.
