GERMAN TRAINER is a sneaker named and developed in 1994 by Seiji Tanaka, a designer at Tanaka Universal. It was launched against the background of its origins in making shoes from equipment before it was discarded, based on the “German Trainer,” a military training shoe originally manufactured in Eastern Europe. Today, Libertéque manufactures the original model in Partizánske, Slovak Republic, and the line is centered on a simple, timeless shape that can be paired with any item.
