Overview

Gerry Cosby A+C was a limited line launched for Spring/Summer 2021 by Gerry Cosby, a US-origin sports brand. Goro Nakatsugawa, representative of the MIN-NANO shop in Ikenoue, Tokyo, served as producer and designer. Drawing on the archive of its parent brand, whose background is in ice hockey, the line offered casual wear, bags, caps, and other items. It adopted the principle “ARCHIVE & CRAFTS,” creating new things while respecting the brand’s history, and was presented as a BEAMS-exclusive collection. Nakatsugawa later carried this experience into Acy, which he worked on.

A limited derivative line that brings the archives into the present

A limited line derived from Gerry Cosby, launched in Spring/Summer 2021. Goro Nakatsugawa

A limited line derived from Gerry Cosby, launched in Spring/Summer 2021. Goro Nakatsugawa of MIN-NANO was commissioned by the brand to handle its design and production. Rather than a one-off store collaboration, it was developed as an independent line bearing the Gerry Cosby name. A+C stands for “Archive & Crafts,” and the line reworks the parent brand’s accumulated archives of sports goods and uniforms into contemporary casualwear. The first and second collections were released exclusively through BEAMS. It is positioned as a derivative line offering fashion for urban life, distinct from Gerry Cosby’s sports goods and basic apparel.
