The Legend Craftsman from Tokyo's Harajaku, the official Yellow Eagle goro's
goro’s is a Japanese brand founded by Goro Takahashi in 1956 in Komagome, Tokyo, where he established the leathercraft label goro’s and began making silver and leather accessories. In 1972, he opened a goro’s shop in Omotesando. In the 1970s, after realizing that he could not carry the eagle feathers used in ceremonies, he decided to make them himself in silver, and the Silver Feather became the brand’s signature. The brand has never officially authorized branches and follows a policy of not passing its body of work on to others; it is said to have been kept in the care of the goro’s family and Takahashi’s family. The shop continues to operate in Harajuku/Omotesando.

Concept

Goro and goro’s are pioneering figures in Indian jewelry in Japan, and have never officially authorized branches. The body of work of goro’s, regarded as an expression of Goro’s spirit, has not been passed on to anyone else. Since the brand’s founding, it has been supported and carefully safeguarded by generations of goro’s staff whom Goro called the “goro’s family” and trusted, together with his family.
