OUTWEAR TWO ORDINARY PAIR
HEAD LIGHT is an American workwear brand that emerged in the early 1900s from Larned, Carter & Co., founded in Michigan, United States, in 1897 by Larned E. Abner. It produced denim, overalls, work coats, and other items, and established an integrated production system covering everything from weaving to sewing in the 1920s. The brand was known for products for railroad workers and locomotive engineers, and used “OUTWEAR TWO ORDINARY PAIR” as its advertising slogan. The original brand disappeared after being absorbed into Carhartt in the 1960s, but Toyo Enterprise currently holds the reproduction rights and produces vintage-spec reproductions under the original name.
