Quality is never an accident
INVERTERE is a coat brand founded in 1904 in Newton Abbot, England, by Harold Parkin and his brothers. It developed the world’s first reversible coat for affluent car owners and held patents for related manufacturing methods. Today, its range focuses on men’s overcoats, reversible topcoats, raincoats, duffle coats, country coats, and other styles. Its approach to quality is expressed in the statement, “Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skilful execution.” Its products are made using traditional cutting and finishing techniques that incorporate handwork. Production continued after the factory closed in 1986, and the brand remains based in Newton Abbot and owned by the Shaw family.
