Jimbobart is an art and lifestyle brand founded in the UK in 2009 by illustrator James Ward. Focusing on animals and birds, it creates original illustrations that capture animal behavior while adding anthropomorphism and humor, and applies them to tableware, homeware, clothing, stationery, art prints, and other products. Its design philosophy is to create designs that make viewers smile as they recognize themselves or others in them. The brand also develops products with British companies, sells through retailers around the world, and licenses its designs.
Concept
Inspired by his love of drawing animals and birds, James creates original illustrations that mirror or subvert animal behaviour. He hopes to make people smile – recognising themselves or others – in his designs.
