Overview

KANSAIMAN is a Japanese menswear line created by Kansai Yamamoto. It began in the 1980s as a separate line of the flagship brand Kansai, offering everyday wear centered on sukajan and stadium jackets. After its collections ended in the early 1990s, it relaunched in 2022 as a project carrying on Yamamoto’s philosophy and creative work. From Spring/Summer 2025, it has presented jacket-focused collections built around Kiryu craftsmanship and embroidery. Under the banner “KANSAI × HUMAN,” it emphasizes Japanese culture, the spirit of basara, and craftsmanship.
