kearny is a Japanese eyewear brand launched in 2013 by designer Fujiki Kumagai. Inspired by his fascination with American vintage eyewear, the brand offers glasses and sunglasses made with celluloid parts. Its philosophy is to preserve for future generations the craftsmanship that supported an era of the eyewear industry, and it places importance on handwork in collaboration with Japanese artisans. Its approach to making products is rooted in respect for designs from different decades and incorporating into its products things the designer has seen and touched. In 2022, the brand also introduced acekearny, which incorporates new materials.
