Overview
Levi’s Wellthread is a sustainable collection announced in 2015 by Levi Strauss & Co. of San Francisco, United States. It uses a holistic sustainable design approach and aims to produce garments using less water, take workers’ well-being into account, and design 100% cotton products to be easier to recycle. Through research at its R&D lab (Dream Lab), it continues to make improvements to materials and processes.

An experimental line launched in 2015 with a focus on sustainability, tasked with testing approaches that use less water, design materials for easier reuse, and take collection and recycling into account. Separate from Red Tab’s regular product development and premium reissue collections, it serves as a practical initiative through which Levi’s can update how clothing itself is made.
