Overview
Moncler is a luxury brand founded in 1952 in Monestier-de-Clermont, France, by René Ramillon and André Vincent. Centered on down, it offers RTW focused on outerwear, as well as accessories, and is currently operated by Moncler S.p.A. Its motto is “born in the mountains, living in the city.” The brand is organized around three pillars: Collections, Grenoble, and Genius.

Moncler Enfant 1952
Moncler Enfant is a children’s collection that inherits the parent brand’s down products and thermal technologies, adapting them for babies through teenagers with specifications that take sizing, mobility, ease of dressing, and safety into account. It is offered through the parent brand’s directly operated stores’ children’s sections, official online channels, department stores, and selected retail channels, serving to bring the parent brand’s technologies to children.

Moncler Gamme Rouge 2006
Moncler Gamme Rouge was launched in 2006 as a womenswear, runway-led line, presenting down and technology as collection-focused designs through refined tailoring and sculptural forms. Alessandra Facchinetti, Giambattista Valli, and others were involved, and runway presentations were central to its development. However, a strategic review in 2017 brought its ongoing runway-based operations to an end.

Moncler Gamme Bleu 2009
Moncler Gamme Bleu began in 2009 as a runway-focused menswear line, with Thom Browne among those involved, and presented fashion-forward menswear grounded in the brand’s functionality. Moncler Grenoble 2010
Moncler Grenoble is a ski- and outdoor-oriented sub-line that debuted in New York in 2010, developing the brand’s mountain-derived down and technical materials for optimized use on the slopes. It emphasizes functional design, including waterproofing, insulation, and mobility, and is clearly differentiated from the main line’s urban luxury in terms of use and design, serving a role focused on practical performance in ski wear and après-ski.

Moncler Lunettes 2013
Moncler Lunettes is an eyewear line focused on sunglasses and prescription frames. In November 2023, Moncler entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with EssilorLuxottica covering design, manufacturing, and global distribution. The agreement is valid from January 2024 through December 2028, and the first collection was launched for Fall/Winter 2024. The eyewear category complements the brand’s functionality and expands its accessories offering.

Moncler Genius 2018
Moncler Genius is a co-creation-based editorial project/sub-line launched in 2018. It is characterized by the parallel release, within the same year, of independent capsule collections by multiple external designers. Using the parent brand’s materials and manufacturing know-how as a shared foundation, it turns each designer’s interpretation into products, systematically opening up an area of expression distinct from the main line and Grenoble. It presents collections through drops and capsules as an alternative to the conventional seasonal system.
